Tofvel – Handgcrafted Wool Felt House Shoes from Nepal

Picture a cold winter evening, cozy on the couch with fireplace on and a glass of wine or a cup of hot chocolate with whipped cream on top. Now, imagine slipping into amazingly warm house shoes that are so comfortable you may never want to remove anymore, these are Tofvel.

Tofvel provide extreme comfort and can keep your feet warm without making them sweaty. Moreover, they are crafted with sustainability in mind. Tofvel offers various designs that are available for the whole family in different colors.

These Tofvel house shoes are only using sustainable materials and entirely handmade in a Nepalese mountain village near Kathmandu. The sheep’s wool is processed through an authentic method without the use of strong chemicals, the wool felt is shaped into a unique pair of Tofvels. Each pair bears a distinctive symbol, which is the embroidered signature of the maker. A card with personal information is included so that the buyer knows exactly which one of Nepalese artisans created their Tofvel.

The production of Tofvel provides employment and a fair income for the artisans in Nepal. Furthermore, a portion of the proceeds from each pair that are sold goes towards providing education for the workers and their children.
